Have you ever wanted to know more about the content of a middle grade or young adult book mentioned in one of my book lists? I try to write as many full reviews as I can on my website, but it’s a mammoth task to write over 200 (I read over 200 books a year!) full reviews every year.
Still, I keep track of all my reading in a super-secret spreadsheet where I write all the content notes and trigger warnings I might need to remember years after reading a book.
Now, I share all of my content notes with my paid community!
Whether you want to know if the dog dies or just how many F-bombs are in a book or if the book includes LGBTQ+ characters, religious messaging, or underage drinking, you’ll find that information in our Content Notes Database.
Each book will have a “Genre” tag, and there will also be a separate “Details” column specifying exactly what the book features so you can have more context. If they need notes for a specific book not currently listed, community members can also submit requests for Content Notes, and I’ll do my best to make them happen.
As there will also be tags for the representation of issues like ADHD, autism, mental illness, and other things, I hope this will become a helpful resource for you.
