Welcome to 2025! We’re kicking things off right with some truly remarkable middle grade books releasing this month. Some months, nearly every book coming is meh at best, but that’s not the case in January! What a way to start the year off with a bang. On this list, you’ll find several excellent graphic novels, multiple exceptional historical fiction releases (including one that’s probably my favorite release this month), and a healthy mix of younger middle-grade and upper-middle-grade choices.
Remember, on these lists, I don’t just share a dump of books from publisher’s release catalogs. I share the books I’ve read, enjoyed, and wholeheartedly recommend!
