In September 2024, Reading Middle Grade began hosting virtual author visits with renowned middle grade authors, bringing these beloved authors to elementary and middle schools in the US & Canada. Since then, we’ve brought authors to 30+ schools.
Still, funding is a challenge for many schools, and students in underfunded and low-income areas often miss out on these visits. To improve access to our visits, we began offering one free ticket to Title I schools each month. All kids deserve to be inspired by authors, and these visits have been proven to be impactful to attending students. Here’s what some teachers have said about our author visits:

What Happens When You Sponsor a Visit
We offer individual authors, publishers, edtech, and other classroom/literacy-centered brands an opportunity to sponsor a virtual author visit. Here’s what the process of becoming a sponsor looks like:
1. Select a visit to sponsor
Choose one or more events from our monthly author visits to sponsor.
2. Sign an agreement
The agreement will include the date and time of the visit, whether you’ll present a live or pre-recorded pitch, what you’ll be pitching, and how long your pitch will last.
3. Pay the sponsorship fee
Once you’ve signed the agreement, we’ll send you an invoice to pay the fee. We’ll announce that you’re sponsoring the event and offer the stipulated number of tickets to interested schools. See you on visit day!
Visit sponsors get 3-5 minutes to promote their book or brand at the start of each visit, giving you invaluable access to your target audience. We currently offer three sponsorship tiers.
